IYCE organises Iyengar Yoga Workshops, Yoga Days, and Weekends which are taught by invited guest teachers, like Jayne Orton, Julie Brown and Brenda Booth or by our home grown teachers Paul Brown, Susan Clark, Michelle Galliano, Sandra Hitchcock, Denise Mehlman and Susan Long. These events take place at different venues around the county so that as many Iyengar Yoga students as possible can have opportunities to work with different teachers. We have had events in Bulphan, Chelmsford, Fyfield, Grays and Great Saling. More recently we have used Highwood Village Hall, Highwood near Chelmsford.
IYCE events provide students with opportunities to extend their practice, to work in more depth on familiar asanas and pranayama, as well as the chance to try some more challenging asanas. It also provides an opportunity to work with different teachers and a chance to work with Iyengar Yoga friends from across the county. All the teachers conducting events are fully qualified and insured Iyengar yoga teachers and are licensed to use the Certification Mark.
